Michael Rossoff is a highly respected and renowned international Macrobiotic teacher and counsellor who has lived a macrobiotic lifestyle for the past 49 years.

After studies with Michio Kushi in the ’60s and ’70s, he directed various macrobiotic centres in the Washington DC area for 20 years. He studied Acupuncture in England in the 1970s with JR Worsley at the College of Chinese Acupuncture and has been practicing since 1978. Michael was the Academic Dean and a core teacher at the Atlantic University of Chinese Medicine near Asheville, North Carolina for three years. Today, his teaching often takes him beyond the American continent to Europe, particularly England.

People go to Michael with a wide variety of problems; over the years he has counseled thousands of people towards health. He is appreciated for his attentiveness to each client’s history and current needs. Drawing on his education and experience with Chinese medicine and macrobiotic teachings, along with his knowledge of Western medicine, he is adept at providing articulate and meaningful feedback for his clients.

Michael uses additional insights and recommendations for better success with healing. These are powerful, low-tech and personal — from lifestyle choices to emotional and mind-spirit perceptions. How a client thinks about disease, recovery and wellness often play a part in the deeper areas that need change. He works with clients to create mutual goals and key ways to profoundly assist their body’s ability to change and heal. His belief, which is evidently true, is that when you take an active role in your healing process, true healing can take place. Then anyone can benefit and recover their health.
