João Borges has a PhD in science and is a Feng Shui macrobiotic teacher and lecturer with over 30 years of experience. He started macrobiotics in 1981 and later enrolled in the Kushi Institute, which he completed in Kiental 1988. He studied with both Michio and Aveline Kushi and also Herman and Cornelia Aihara. In 1995 he co-founded with Jon Sandifer the International Macrobiotic Association. Together with his wife Maria, he ran the Ohsawa Study House in Brighton UK, and the One World Festival which became the largest macrobiotic gathering worldwide. He has been a Portuguese resident in Portugal since 2018, co-director of the Portuguese Macrobiotic School.

 

João also specializes in Feng Shui, Nine Star Ki, Chinese Astrology, I Ching, and Qi Men Dun Jia. Since 1997 he has been running the Feng Shui Academy that teaches both in Portugal and worldwide and is currently the largest school of Feng Shui in the West. He is the author of “The Great Book of the I Ching,” the “Chinese 10,000 Years Calendar”, and “Bazi Reading by Fingertips,” the latter of which he co-authored with Lily Chung. João lectures worldwide on these subjects. He is also co-chairman of the Portuguese Feng Shui Association and the International Feng Shui Society.
