With great gratitude to George Ohsawa and his students, who were often our direct teachers, we have spent the last two years with a group of macrobiotic teachers seeking to help evolve macrobiotics. With a huge appreciation to our colleagues and fellow teachers we have included their direct recommendations, along with those suggestions made at the international macrobiotic conferences, teachers meetings, online discussions, books and the various communications within the macrobiotic community. We have named this evolution Integral Macrobiotics, so that there is a name that clearly describes this updated inclusive version of macrobiotics. We thank Ken Wilber for his work on exploring integral living. We have all worked on this project with a great love of macrobiotics and all our colleagues.
