Baked Cinnamon Apples
The autumn is the season when apples and pears are in abundance, and can be used to make delicious deserts. The simplest desert of all, and one of the most satisfying, is to bake them in the oven until soft and melting. In this recipe for baked apples you can either remove the core with an apple corer, or you can leave the apples whole.
Servings 4 people
Ingredients
- 6 eating apples
- 2 tbs raisins
- ½ cup water
- 2 tbs rice syrup
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- Small pinch of salt
Instructions
- Place the apples in a heatproof baking dish and add the water and pinch of salt.
- Sprinkle the apples with the raisins, cinnamon and the rice syrup.
- Cover with a piece of foil and cook in a medium oven for 20 mins. Remove the foil and continue to cook until the skins are crisp.
Notes
This desert is nice accompanied with some oat or almond cream
